This year Veritas celebrates two decades as the most prominent and authoritative competition for quality market ready wines and has included brandy to the fold to mark this milestone. The recent international triumphs of several South African standard and potstill brandies serve to confirm that SA brandy is on par with the best in the world.
Wine and brandy enthusiasts can now book their places at tasting sessions of the 2010 Veritas double gold and gold winners. In Cape Town this event takes place on Tuesday 19 October at the Southern Sun Cape Sun hotel and in Johannesburg on Tuesday 26 October at the Sandton Convention Centre. Durbanites only have to wait until 4 November for a chance to taste at the Deloitte Head Office in Umhlanga. A selection of the 2010 Qualité cheese winners will also be partnering South Africa’s top wines and brandies.
In Port Elizabeth wine lovers can look forward to a wine tasting at the Squires Legendary Grill in the Boardwalk centre on 16 November. A food and wine pairing experience will be presented at Kilzers Kitchen in Knysna on 17 and 18 November.
